YOUR COLLECTION CHECKLIST
Prepare your Brookhaven pickup.
Select where your car is parked to see the details to arrange before collection. This checklist stays in your browser.
Plan access from the driveway or garage.
Describe gates, low entrances and anything blocking the car. Tell the partner if wheels are missing or the steering is locked. Agree the loading position before moving the vehicle.
Arrange access with the property manager.
Give the bay number, entrance instructions and any loading restrictions. Confirm who can let the driver in. Permission to enter the property and authority to sell the vehicle are separate details.
Confirm release with the facility.
Ask who authorizes release and whether any existing bill or hold needs resolving. Agree the collection window with the facility and buyer. Free purchase towing does not settle earlier repair or storage charges.
Identify the exact parked position.
Give the street address or nearest cross-street and describe whether the car moves. If there is a notice, keep its reference and use the local resource below for the issuing office’s instructions.
For every pickup: prepare the ownership documents, confirm the purchasing party and agreed amount, remove personal belongings, and keep the handover record.

LOCAL NOTICES AND DOCUMENT HELP
Report abandoned or junk vehicles through Brookhaven Connect.
Use this public resource if a local notice, property issue or document question affects your sale. For a vehicle you own and can release, arrange the purchase and collection directly through the enquiry form.
Brookhaven lists abandoned and junk vehicles among the violations handled by Code Enforcement. The city directs reports through Brookhaven Connect or Code Enforcement at 404-637-0729. If the vehicle is yours and has a notice, contact the officer about the case reference and required correction before arranging sale pickup. If someone else owns it, a code complaint does not give you authority to sell it. For a shared parking area, arrange access with the property manager separately from the ownership transfer.
What should I do about a Brookhaven vehicle notice?
Keep the notice, its deadline and the officer’s contact details with your vehicle records. Ask Code Enforcement how to document the correction and whether the case needs a follow-up inspection. Booking a buyer’s truck does not itself close the case.
How do I report a car that is not mine?
Use Brookhaven Connect for the city’s reporting route. Provide the location and identifying details. Follow the Georgia abandoned-vehicle guidance instead of signing a sale document as the owner.
What should I arrange for an apartment pickup?
Give the buyer the parking bay, gate contact and loading restrictions. Confirm that the property manager can provide entry and that the seller has the ownership documents. Keep the handover record so you can explain when your car left the property.
