Use the motor-vehicle form
Georgia Form T-8 is a limited power of attorney for motor-vehicle transactions. Its instructions require completion, signing and notarization, together with a copy of the appointed representative’s driver’s license or state identification.
Check the mileage restriction
T-8 cannot be used where the transferor and transferee are the same person, or agents of the same company, when mileage disclosure is required. Confirm the appropriate authorization for the transaction.
Agree the handover arrangements
Tell the purchasing partner who owns the vehicle, who can sign and who will attend collection. Having the keys does not itself establish authority to transfer ownership.
