Snow Emergency Routes have different parking rules from other streets.
Kingston’s snow-emergency guidance prohibits street parking on designated Snow Emergency Routes and dead-end streets during an emergency. Other streets generally use the emergency alternate-side procedure. The city publishes the route list and directs owners of towed cars to Kingston Police. For a non-running vehicle, check the street’s category before booking pickup. If the car has already been removed, locate the holding yard and confirm release instead of sending the buyer to the old parking spot.

For every pickup: prepare the ownership documents, confirm the purchasing party and agreed amount, remove personal belongings, and keep the handover record.
